Affiliate Resources to Increase Your Profits

The affiliate resources listed here account for a large portion of my internet income. I have been
using these resources for several years and highly recommend them for anyone marketing on the
internet.

It seems everywhere you go on the net these days, you are bombarded with advertisements for everything from "Yahoo me this" to "Google me that."  Everyone claims to have discovered the Holy Grail of Internet Marketing that's going to allow us all to retire peacefully within the next couple of years.

Well let me tell you, I've been hacking away at this for the past six years, and I can assure you I'm far from the sandy beaches and palm trees that I dream about when I can find time to close my eyes.

I'm making progress, but I'm not there yet. :-)             

Now, what was it I wanted to discuss with you... oh yea, a few things I've discovered with respect to Internet Marketing that actually make sense.  When it comes to value, these affiliate resources are, in my opinion, priceless.

I've become very cautious lately when it comes to handing out my e-mail address on the Internet, but in this case I'm glad I did.  The informative e-mails that arrived in my inbox over the next few days from Anik Singal of Affiliate Classroom were priceless.  Anik pointed out some very straight forward promotional methods that I hadn't really considered.

The amount of information I received during those first few days, all for free, really surprised me.

Google AdWords - One of the Top Affiliate Resources

Another great Affiliate Resource that shouldn't be passed up is Google Adwords.  In order to get the most out of this resource however, you must learn to use it properly.

Diving head first into the murky waters of Google Adwords has always been, for me, a scary proposition.  Seeing bids of $5.00 to $10.00 for certain keywords got me to thinking that some people out there have finally gone off the deep end.  How can anyone afford this?

When it comes to Google Adwords and the bidding wars for popular keywords, "what you see" is not always exactly "what you get."

I received my enlightenment concerning Google Adwords in much the same manner as I did when I discovered the Affiliate Classroom... for free via e-mail.

I was under the impression that the person with the highest bid was guaranteed to maintain the number one position with Google Adwords.

Not so!                                                                                  

Even though you are paying for Google Adwords, the system works much the same as with Google's free listings... it has to do with relevance.

5 Pillars - The Grandaddy of Affiliate Resources

For some, success on the Internet seems to be second nature.  This is something that has always amazed me and caused me to be a little envious at the same time.

Some will suggest the reason why many entrepreneurs are so successful is because they started their businesses back when the Internet was in it's infancy.  To a certain extent this may be true.  It takes

Unless you have thousands of dollars to invest, building a profitable internet business isn't something
you can do overnight.  From my own experience, I have found that a combination of both free and
paid advertising works well.  To be honest, there aren't a lot of free resources that will bring you any
large amount of traffic.

Two resources that I have been using for several years are Traffic Swarm and Prospect Response.

With Traffic Swarm, it didn't take long to build a large downlink since it's free to join.  At the moment
I am getting visits to my site without really having to do anything.  The traffic isn't overwhelming, but it
all adds up... and best of all, it's free! Just another great affiliate resource I have discovered.

I have been a member of Prospect Response (formerly Adsaturation) for several years as well. I have found this affiliate resource, although free to join, to be very profitable.  They pay commissions on several levels,with the top level paying 40%.  I usually collect enough in commissions to pay for my gold membership, with enough left over to send solo ads on a regular basis to their entire data base, which at the moment is in excess of 134,000.  You can also email their data base for free every time you refer 30 members.

What makes Prospect Response unique is the fact that they pay prospects to read your emails. This
helps give you a much better response, and unlike safelists, you don't receive a lot of mail from other
members.  On average, I get maybe maybe 10 a week.

When it comes to affiliate resources and advertising, I've learned to investigate every avenue, no matter how insignificant. Sometimes traffic (and sales :-) can come from places you least expect.  Just a couple of nights ago I was examining the log files at my site, and I noticed a significant increase in the number of visitors from China.  Upon further investigation, I discovered my site was listed in the # 2 position on Yahoo China for certain keywords related to my site.  The site displays in English, but with one click, you can translate to Chinese.

The word is that Yahoo is becoming very popular in China, so some day I'm hoping to get a lot of
traffic from there.
